Used Book Buyback Program

Our Romance Book Buy-Back Program was created because all great loves deserve a second chance! Bring in your used books for evaluation on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

Buy-Back Credit Structure

  • Paperback Romance Novels: $1.00 store credit per book'

  • Hardcover Romance Novels: $2.00 store credit per book

  • Special Editions/Limited Releases: $3.00 store credit per book (at manager discretion)

Eligible Book Criteria

✅ Accepted Books:

  • Romance novels in good condition (minimal wear, no missing pages)

  • Romantasy (romance + fantasy) titles

  • Contemporary, historical, paranormal, and LGBTQ+ romance

  • Popular authors and series (BookTok favorites, bestsellers)

  • Books published within the last 10 years (exceptions for classics)

  • Clean covers with readable spines

❌ Not Accepted:

  • Books with excessive highlighting, writing, or damage

  • Water-damaged or moldy books

  • Books missing pages or with broken spines

  • Non-romance genres

  • Textbooks or reference materials

  • Self-published titles (unless pre-approved popular series)

Program Terms & Conditions

Store Credit Details:

  • Credit issued as store credit or loyalty points

  • No expiration date on store credit

  • Credit can be used on any Fantasy Gifts NJ products (books, toys, lingerie, etc.)

  • Minimum 5 books required per transaction

  • Maximum 25 books accepted per customer per month

Book Evaluation Process:

  • Staff will evaluate each book's condition and marketability

  • Final credit amount determined at time of evaluation

  • Customers will receive itemized receipt showing credit breakdown

  • Books not accepted will be returned to customer or donated (with permission)
