Fantasy Gifts NJ + Romantasy Bookstore Creator Space

Have a skill to share, a workshop to teach, or a performance that deserves an audience? We’re inviting artists, crafters, performers, educators, and other creative people to bring engaging experiences into our stores.

We provide approved event space free of charge. You bring the idea, supplies, and expertise—and take the lead on planning and running your event. Together, we can introduce new people to your work and give our customers another reason to visit.

WHAT COULD YOU HOST?

We welcome proposals that connect with our customers’ interests, including:

• Arts & crafts: book bedazzling, painting, embroidery, jewelry making, seasonal crafts, and other hands-on projects.

• Books & storytelling: writing workshops, author conversations, poetry, dramatic readings, and literary activities.

• Entertainment: trivia, themed games, small performances, and interactive experiences.

• Education & connection: inclusive workshops about relationships, communication, body confidence, sexual wellness, and related topics.

Have an idea that doesn’t fit a category? We’d love to hear it.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

• Complimentary use of an approved space at a participating location.

• An opportunity to introduce your work to our community.

• Coordination on the date, layout, capacity, and store requirements.

• Potential promotion through our event calendar, social media, or other channels, as agreed in advance.

Space, amenities, and promotional support vary by location. Attendance and ticket sales are not guaranteed.

WHAT YOU BRING

You are responsible for creating and delivering the experience. This includes:

• Planning the activity and providing instruction, entertainment, or facilitation.

• Supplying materials, equipment, and any assistants you need.

• Managing registration, attendee communication, payments, and refunds, unless another arrangement is approved.

• Promoting your event to your own audience.

• Setting up, supervising the activity, cleaning up, and restoring the space within the agreed time.

Free use of the space does not include event staffing, supplies, or payment to the creator. Proposed ticket prices, material fees, merchandise sales, and payment arrangements must be approved in advance.

OUR SHARED EXPECTATIONS

We want welcoming, respectful experiences that reflect our stores and serve our community. Creators and attendees must follow our code of conduct, respect personal boundaries, and comply with store policies and approved age requirements. Harassment, discrimination, pressure to participate, and unsafe behavior are not permitted.

Before an event is confirmed, creators must sign a separate space-use agreement addressing responsibilities, assumption of risk, liability, property damage, cancellation, and any required insurance, permits, or participant waivers.

All proposals are subject to approval based on fit, space, scheduling, and safety. We may decline proposals or stop activities that violate the agreement or store policies.
