Deluxe first print run (sprayed edges + special cover) • NBA romance • fake dating • roommate forced proximity • sister’s best friend
A swoony, high-chemistry sports romance where the league’s newest captain is laser-focused on winning—until his sister’s best friend moves into his apartment and turns his carefully controlled life into a full-time distraction. The Right Move is equal parts cozy domestic tension and public-facing fake dating, with a hero who looks like an unapproachable lone wolf… and a heroine
Productswho makes him want to be anything but.
The vibe
Ryan is the newly appointed Captain of the Devils, Chicago’s NBA team, and he does not have time for chaos. Unfortunately, chaos has a name: Indy Ivers—his sister’s best friend—who’s now living in his apartment. She’s messy, emotional, outgoing, and way too tempting for a man who survives on discipline and routine.
When the team’s General Manager questions Ryan’s promotion—calling him an unapproachable lone wolf with zero work-life balance—Ryan needs a solution that reads “stable” to the outside world. Fast. So he proposes the most dangerous plan possible: pretend to date his roommate. It’s supposed to be simple. Convincing. Temporary.
Except living together already blurs the lines, and fake dating has a way of turning very real when the person you’re “pretending” with is the one person who sees through you.
